Our Department

Suppression Division

The Fire Suppression Division is responsible for responding to emergency fire calls, rescue calls and Hazardous Material calls. Our Fire Suppression Division receives and responds to an average of 250 calls per year. This division is comprised of 1 fire station with 13  firefighting personnel. We respond to all Emergency Calls within the City of Remerton, including all medical calls. All our personnel receive 240 hours of fire recruit training upon joining and an additional 192 hours of training per year.

We are a combination department. The Chief and Administrative Captain is on duty Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM.

We operate with the following apparatus:

(2) Engine’s (Engine 1 and Engine 2)

(1) 75′ Aerial (Truck 3)

Volunteer Training

Training: Every Tuesday night 6:00PM-10:00PM
Location: Remerton Fire Department

All new recruits are required to obtain 240 hours of initial training.

Our drivers are required to obtain 60 hours of driver’s training before driving our apparatus and 12 hours annually of continued training.

Annually we conduct 192 hours of company training per year over various topics and incidents, 18 hours of drill field training and 6 hours of continued hazmat education training. We strive to provide the highest level of service to our community, and to do this, we must continuously train. Our member’s are very dedicated to the community and dedicate countless hours training to provide the best protection.
